DETAILS OF CENTRAL BANK OF INDIA VACANCIES 2017-18
(I) Clerical Cadre
Central Bank of India invites ONLINE applications for filling up numerous Single Window Operators „A‟/ SWO-A (in Clerical Cadre) posts, from Indian Citizens who have appeared in the Common Written Examination (CWE) for recruitment in clerical cadre conducted by IBPS in 2015-16 and have valid Score Card issued by IBPS, Mumbai.
Before applying candidates are advised to ensure that they fulfill the stipulated eligibility criteria. They should note that Application Fee once deposited will neither be refunded nor adjusted against any other project. Candidates are advised to fill their particulars online themselves correctly. Candidates should ensure that particulars once submitted by them will be final and no further change will be allowed thereafter.
Nationality / Citizenship: A candidate must be either (i) a Citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st Jan. 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of India.
Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 18 years to 28 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.
Educational Qualification: Candidate must possess Degree (10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline or equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
IBPS Score Card (CWE): Candidates must have a valid IBPS score card in IBPS Clerk CWE – 2015-16. General candidates must have secured 24 and SC/ST/PWD/OBC candidates must have secured 21 marks in each of the tests in IBPS Clerk CWE. State wise and category wise total weighted standard score is available in the notification.
Pay Scale: Rs.7200-19300 Approx. Total emoluments at the start of the scale will be Rs.15000/-(approx.) inclusive of DA, CCA, & HRA at Metropolitan Centre. In addition Medical Aid, Hospitalization scheme, Leave fare concession, Retirement benefits are admissible as per Bank’s rule.
Selection Procedure: Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of Score obtained in IBPS Clerk CWE in 2015-2016 and Personal Interview.

(II) Counselor for Financial Literacy and Credit Counseling Centre (FLCC)
Central Bank is looking for retired bank officers in scale III and above, having experience of working in any public sector bank/SBI (i.e. our Bank/any other Public Sector Bank/State Bank of India) and with relevant expertise, for recruitment on contract as Incharge for FLCC in Jalgaon districts. The details are given below.
Educational Qualification :
Essential – Graduate/ Post Graduate degree from a UGC recognized University
Desirable – Officers with rural development background i.e. Agriculture Finance Officer/Rural Development Officer/ Agriculture officers converted to Mainstream of banking/Lead District managers and Faculty leaders/ Faculty members of Training Centres/Colleges with specialization in Rural Development etc. shall be preferred.
Experience : i) Candidate should have retired on VRS or on attaining superannuation with minimum 20 years of service of which at least 15 years in Officer Cadre. ii)He should have worked as Branch Manager in any scale in a rural branch for at least 3 years. iii) He should have unblemished record and possess satisfactory service certificate from the previous employer. iv) Should be well conversant with the local language. v) Should have retired from scale III or above. Name of retired Scale-II officers may be considered for the post of Counselors/ Incharge for FLCCs only (Not for RSETI) vi) Should be resident of the same State, preferably same or nearby district.
Age limit : Less than 65 years with sound health.
Contract Period : The candidate shall be appointed on Contract basis for a period of one year. Renewal may be possible at Bank’s sole discretion in terms of extant policies and rules.
Contract Amount :
- The contract amount shall be fixed as the last pay and allowances drawn by the officer less the initial amount of pension fixed before commutation plus relief etc. payable thereon OR Rs. 25,000/- per month, which ever is lower.
- Further a lump sum amount of Rs.5000/- per month shall be paid towards mobile, conveyance etc.
- Reimbursement of TA/DA for traveling as per requirement of the post shall be made as per the scale /grade in which he was working at the time of his superannuation.
Selection Procedure : The eligible candidates will be called for personal interview and the decision of the Bank in this regard shall be final.
